We had fantastic weather for the whole weekend. We stopped at Beer Club Brewing in Mora on the way to Duluth. We weren't planning on stopping, but we happened to see it along the highway, and dogs are allowed inside, but it was so nice so we sat outside.

Next we walked around Jay Cooke State Park. It was very warm and busy with people and other dogs. The highlight for me is always getting to walk in the water. The swinging bridge is really scary though, but I was brave and got across it.

We ended the first day with dinner on the patio at Fitgers Brewing. This is a very interesting old building and dogs are allowed inside the shops, everywhere except in the restaurant. The highlight for me was a store called A Place for Fido. It has everything a dog needs, like treats, food, toys, and treats. The Human that worked at the store was nice enough to give me treats too.

We finally checked in at the Hampton Inn Canal Park. This is the best hotel ever because bunny rabbits live is the bushes next to the hotel. I barely got any sleep because those rabbits were moving around all night. My Humans didn't get much sleep either.

Before we went to bed we walked out the lighthouse on the canal, and then sat outside for a little while at Canal Park Brewing.

Sunday we went north along Lake Superior. We stopped first at Gooseberry Falls State Park. Everyone else had the same idea so we went on Split Rock Lighthouse State Park instead. We found out that the actual light house is now owned and operated by the Minnesota State Historical Society, and a very nice worker told us dogs are not allowed at the light house. However, dogs are allowed in the rest of the state park, and there were a lot fewer people too. We had a nice walk along Lake Superior, and cooled off a little in the lake too.

We had lunch at Castle Danger Brewing in Two Harbors. Dogs are allowed on the patio only, but there were a lot of dogs, no two alike. It was still very warm so I took a nap while the Humans had lunch.

After lunch the walk on the breakwater was very refreshing, and then another dip in Lake Superior.

Back to Duluth. A short visit to Bent Paddle Brewing, which the Humans didn't bother to take pictures at, as well Ursa Minor and Duluth Cider. Dogs were allowed on the patio only. Duluth Cider was notable because the first time we had seen a Human bring a pet Bearded Dragon to a brewery. It was leashed just like me, so I guess it was OK.

After walking around Canal Park some more, we had a nightcap at Canal Park Brewery. I watched for bunnies while the Humans had a beer. The Humans figured out to block the window of the hotel room with the desk chair and an ottoman, so we slept instead of watching for bunnies all night long. Very boring.

On Monday May 29, we celebrated my 6th Birthday at Canal Park Brewing. The silly Humans made me wear a Birthday hat and sunglasses, but I figured out how to shake them off right away.

On the way home we stopped and took a long walk in Banning State Park. The Humans were interested in the remains of old quarry buildings, but they didn't let me wade into the river even though it was very warm.

Overall, a very eventful trip, even if I wasn't able to catch a bunny rabbit.
