Another trip in the Little House on Wheels. The drive isn't too much fun, but I always like seeing new places. This week's trip was to Pokegama Dam Campground, near Grand Rapids, MN. The campground was pretty nice, with lots of trees, chipmunks, and squirrels, right along the Mississippi River.

The evening we arrived we went for a long walk across the river in the Bass Brook Wildlife Management Area. Very nice easy trails at the end of a long day.

The next day started with a hike in the Tioga Recreational Area. Tioga is mainly set up for mountain biking, but a service road through the middle of the park can be used by hikers.

After lunch we went for a hike in the Chippewa National Forest, on the Joyce Estate trail, but we didn't go all the way to the old resort. Fun trail.

We next visited the Suomi Hills Trail System in the Chippewa National Forest. Only a short walk because we were getting tired after a long couple days. Therefore, we decided to visit a brewery, finally! Klockow Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, MN is very dog friendly, letting me go inside and having a jar of dog treats on the counter.

The next day started with a visit to the Milford Mine Memorial Park, north of Crosby, MN The Humans were pretty interested in the history of the mine, and the memorial to a disaster in 1924 that killed 41 miners. As usual, I was mainly interested in smelling everything.

We didn't really feel like hiking after that, but luckily Cuyuna Brewing Company was close by in Crosby, MN. Lots of pets from other customers, and I got to be inside too!

One last stop on the way back to the Little House on Wheels was at 14 Lakes Brewing Company in Cross Lake, MN. I was also allowed inside here, and they have special water bowls for different size dogs. Very nice!

Straight to bed after a long day.

Our last morning in Pokegama Dam Campground. We went for a last walk and the Humans finally let me walk in the Mississippi.

On the way home we spent a rainy night visiting friends on Little Pine Lake. Very pretty area, and I also gets lots of attention here.

I'm getting use to the Little House on Wheels. I can't wait for the next trip!
